Thomas Mallett, Physio

Tom graduated from the University of Sydney completing a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science as well as a Masters of Physiotherapy.

Tom is currently the head Physiotherapist for the Cronulla Sharks U21 team (Jersey Flegg), and has previously been involved as a Physiotherapist for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs U20’s, Australian National U20 Touch Football Team, Touch Football NSW and Sydney United 58. 

Tom has always had a passion for sport, playing soccer since he was first up and able to walk! He went on to play for the Central Coast Mariners National Youth League team, as well as Parramatta FC and Sydney United 58 in the NSW National Premier League.

Tom has a special interest in sporting and musculoskeletal injuries which prompted him to seek additional training in this area, completing the APA Level One Sports Physiotherapy Course. He also enjoys helping people from all walks of life, having experience previously running weekly balance and falls prevention classes for those at risk of a fall.

Tom’s approach to management of injury incorporates both a hands on and exercise based approach, implementing the best available evidence in his treatments. Tom also believes in the importance of helping you understand what is happening, from your first assessment and diagnosis through until you are back performing at your best.

Outside of work, Tom enjoys an active lifestyle going to the gym, beach and spending time with his family and friends.
